Seattle to San Juan Islands Whale Watching Getting to the San Juan Islands from Seattle for orca whale watching with Western Prince.

From Seattle drive North on Interstate-5 to Highway 20 (Exit 230). Take Hwy. 20 West through Anacortes and out to the Washington State Ferry landing 4 miles West of Anacortes. If you are coming over just for the day then park your car and walk on the ferry to Friday Harbor, San Juan Island. Ferries run every 2 to 3 hours so be aware of the schedule before you leave Seattle.

The ferry ride over here is beautiful and you will see many islands on the way.
